A creative partnership between Joanna Anderson and Vicky Licorish,
AL Films is an independent film and television production company.
Our first major commission was the BBC One adaptation of Andrea Levy’s Small Island, which went on to win several awards.
We are a small team who choose projects because we are passionate about them.
Our current slate, across film and television, includes: a BBC/BFI-developed feature about the rivalry between record-breaking athletes Steve Ovett and Sebastian Coe; a feature in development with eOne about the life of the wartime singer Vera Lynn; and a feature in development with the BFI about the spectacular West Indian cricket team of the 1970s/80s.
